PostHeaderIcon Pototan participates in "Cacaolink Visayas"

Cacaolink Visayas is an event organized by the Philippine Cacao Industry Council in cooperation with the Region VI Cacao Industry Council.  The event is participated by delegates from Regions 6, 7 and 8.


Thru the leadership of Municipal Mayor Tomas M. Penaflorida, the local government of Pototan sponsored 6 Agricultural Technologist and 4 Cacao Farmer Growers to attend in the said event.


Technical experts presented and conducted Techno-Demo on Cacao propagation, production, post harvest technology and processing.

 

PostHeaderIcon ELA Cap Dev 2017

 

The Training Workshop for the formulation of the Executive and Legislative Agenda was conducted last October 9-11, 2017 at the Local Government Center. It was participated by the different heads of offices together with the Mun. Mayor, members of the Sangguniang Bayan and the Education Sector.

The Local Government of Pototan after settling down with the newly-elected officials immediately worked on to craft the Executive-Legislative Agenda for the years 2018-2020. The ELA formulation was a three days planning workshop participated by the local officials, department heads and selected personnel, DepEd District Supervisors, the Chief of Police from the Pototan PNP with the supervision from the Department of Interior and Local Government. Assessment, sharing and consolidation of ideas characterized the activity.

The participants were group into the different sectors namely: the Institutional Development Sector, the Economic Development Sector, the Environmental Management Sector, the Social Development Sector and the Physical/Land Use Sector. Issues and Concerns that hindered the development of each sectors were identified and discussed.

The Vision and Mission Statements of the Municipality was revisited. The Vision Statement was amended in order to go with the time as it is significant in the identification of the sectoral priority development programs and projects for the next three (3) years, 2018-2020.

The outcome of the three-day ELA were priority areas when if addressed will make Pototan like in its vision and mission a premier center of agricultural, an investment-friendly environment, with sustainable tourism practices, climate change adaptive and disaster resilient LGU under a people-centered governance.

The three year Capacity Development Agenda was formulated to support the ELA 2018-2020. This will serve as a comprehensive guide to all aspects of governance of the Municipality of Pototan as it will ensure that programs and projects identified thereto will be realized and accomplished.
