Municipal Civil Registrar's Office

 

I. Functional Statements


Pursuant to section 479 of the Local Government Code of 1991 (RA 7160), the Municipal Civil Registrar shall take charge of the office of Civil Registry and shall;

 

1. Develop plan strategies and upon approved thereof by the Municipal Mayor , implement the same particularly those which the Municipal Mayor is empowered to implement and which the Sanggunian is empowered to provide for under RA 7160.

2. Perform such other duties and functions as may prescribed by law or ordinance.

II. Objectives


1. To develop plans and programs for the maintenance and preservation of records and files especially civil registry books.

2. To implement programs and projects relative to civil registration.

3. To coordinate with the National Statistics Office in the conduct of educational campaign for vital registration.
